Your parents feel validated by the $140,000 they spent on your 5 years at DU - not to mention your turning down that job offer from those geeks at a little company called Yahoo in 1999. The Elm could not have been a more welcome addition to the Park Hill neighborhood when it opened its doors in April of 2004. You can't likely put into words what you feel when you walk through the door – so please, allow me: A great sense of comfort from the classic wood bar, sweet retro fixtures throughout, 12 exceptional tap handles, a vibe straight out of the 1930s. The Elm was a drugstore and soda fountain back in the day, so it does have some history – or what some overpaid formulaic copy writer at an agency would call "a sense of place." Bartender Matt is an avid Red Sox fan, so you Beantown folks, this is your Cheers. Great burgers, and a nice simple menu that will do you right day or night.
